José E. Capilla, Rector of the UPV, wishes the university community happy holidays and a new year filled with enthusiasm to continue growing, learning and transforming our environment together.

In this video, José E. Capilla, Rector of the Universitat Politècnica de València, wishes the university community happy holidays while looking back on an intense 2025, marked by numerous projects, challenges, and shared achievements.

Capilla highlights the exemplary solidarity shown by the university community in response to the 2024 DANA, which involved not only immediate assistance but also recovery and the subsequent contribution of scientific and technological knowledge to deal with future extreme weather events.

The message also underlines the UPV's progress in education, research, student achievements, international recognition, campus improvements, sustainability and internationalisation, with historic milestones such as the new centre in Hangzhou.

Thank you to the entire community for your commitment to keeping the university an innovative, open, and humane institution. We wish you all the best for the festive season.
