Nearly 40,000 people travel to the campuses of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) every day to study or work.
To help reduce traffic congestion, emissions, and noise pollution, the UPV encourages its university community to opt for sustainable transport and is working to expand the available options.
New this academic year: new Metrobús routes now provide direct connections to the València campus from Llíria, L’Eliana, and Paterna.
The Universitat Politècnica de València has approved a Sustainable Mobility Strategic Plan 2023?2027 to ensure efficient and participatory transport management.
A dedicated website with information on all public transport options is also available.
Each day, around 14,000 people drive to the Universitat Politècnica de València. The UPV encourages carpooling.
Twelve electric car charging stations — exclusively for the UPV community — have been installed across the three campuses.
At the València campus, the PoliBici service provides parking facilities with electric chargers for bikes and scooters.
The UPV has also created maps showing the location of bicycle parking (both surface and underground). Here are the maps for the Vera and Gandia campuses. At the Alcoy campus, bike parking is in the main car park.
The main transport options include:
Metrobús: This year, new direct routes to the Vera campus have been launched:
L136A Llíria – Universities (UPV and UV),
L136B L’Eliana – Universities (UPV and UV),
