2025 Employment Forum

Looking for a job? You have more than 215 companies to ask about the job profiles they need and make initial contact with human resources managers

[ 29/05/2025 ]

With record numbers, at 10 o'clock sharp, the UPV 2025 Employment Forum opened its doors. Just over 215 companies, distributed in as many stalls set up for the first time on the UPV athletics track, are looking for talent among students at the Universitat Politècnica de València.

In previous editions, 1,500 immediate contracts were signed during the two days of the Forum. This figure has increased throughout the academic year. It is the best time to find summer internships or a permanent job. This is because, in many stalls, the person responsible for human resources at the company seeking employees is on hand to answer questions.

As highlighted by the Rector of the UPV, José E. Capilla, at the opening of the 2025 Employment Forum, 'companies come to compete for our students, which is a source of pride for the Universitat Politècnica de València. They appreciate our students and need them'.

In this video, you can see the opinions of students and representatives of participating companies.

Companies are looking for UPV talent

For the first time, the Employment Forum is being held at the athletics tracks of the Universitat Politècnica de València. It is open to anyone looking for work, and admission is free. You have to register on the website in advance. You will receive a QR Code, which you can use to obtain a smart wristband to enter the venue on both days of the Forum. The wristband will also facilitate contact and CV to companies, bringing it closer to the available readers installed in each stall.

Another feature is the Chill and chat area. This marquee has a bar and informal seating designed to encourage contact between job seekers and companies in a more relaxed setting.

The Employment Forum is mainly aimed at university students, and the Universitat Politècnica de València pioneered it. It is one of the forums that attracts the most companies.

The UPV is a pioneer and leader in job placement initiatives for its students. Various employability reports indicate that 4 out of 5 graduates from this university have a job within a year of completing their studies, and that companies would hire 88% of UPV students who undertake internships with them.

Preliminary activities

The forum preparation took place from 19 to 23 May, and more than 900 students and 50 collaborating companies participated in the activities. As a new feature, an Artificial Intelligence course and an elevator pitch activity were held, teaching the keys to an impactful, agile and quick CV presentation.

Additionally, the most popular workshops, such as CV review, digital footprint and job interview simulation, have been repeated.

The 2023 edition offered just over 1,400 jobs and internships, and nearly 15,000 CVs were collected.
