For the third consecutive year, the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) has recognised the R&D, dissemination and knowledge transfer activities of its Research staff. In the third edition of its Research Awards, the UPV has awarded a total of 32 prizes to different scientists from the academic institution itself.

"Each of the award-winning researchers are exponents of the work and scientific talent of our university; an example of excellent science, of collaboration with the productive framework, of commitment to bring science to society; and, without doubt, this is essential for the UPV to continue, year after year, as the best technical university in Spain", highlighted the Rector José E. Capilla during the awards ceremony, held in the auditorium of the Nexus building on the Vera campus.

The gala began with a heartfelt tribute to all the victims of the DANA by the Grup de Dolçaina i Percussió de la UPV, who performed La Muixeranga with a video in the background showing moments of those fateful days, accompanied by images of the project “Salvem les fotos” in which the UPV has been working since last November.
