UPV launches a solidarity accommodation action for students affected by the DANA in València

[ 08/11/2024 ]

The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) has launched an initiative to help students affected by the recent DANA that has devastated the province of Valencia. With this action, the UPV seeks to facilitate access to training for those students whose mobility has been compromised and who, in many cases, are without internet access.

Through this programme, students and members of the UPV community will offer accommodation spaces in the vicinity of the Vera campus to host the students who need them most. The aim is to create a network of support and solidarity that will allow them to continue their studies without the DANA being an insurmountable obstacle.

This solidarity accommodation action invites the entire UPV community to participate in this important work. In addition to providing access to a space close to the campus, it is hoped that the affected students can take advantage of internet access and the university's resources to continue their education effectively.

Those interested in participating, either to offer accommodation or to apply for it, can access the official website of the programme, where they will find all the necessary information.

Nido Living

To help those who have lost their home or have serious problems with daily access to the university, the student residence Nido Living offers 8 rooms in its residence in Malvarrosa.

The student residence offers the university community four double rooms and four single bedrooms for the next few weeks. Those interested can contact through the WhatsApp channel of UPV 620 040 050.
