[ 19/02/2024 ]

A new commitment to the employability of students has landed at the Universitat Politècnica de València. This is the Pathways to Employment, a support programme of the Vice-Rectorate for Employment and Lifelong Learning and the Vice-Rectorate for Students and Entrepreneurship of the UPV, which was presented this Thursday, 15th February.

The presentation of Pathways to Employment was animated by the rapper and computer engineer Arkano, who, after the official inauguration by the Rector of the UPV, José E. Capilla, spoke with the Vice-Rectorate, Alberto Conejero and MªDolores Salvador, about the programme and all that it offers to UPV students.

After a motivational talk by Arkano and a raffle among the attendees, it was announced that registration was now open on their website.

Three phases

Pathways to Employment was created to meet the needs of students looking towards their near future, with the aim of quickly integrating into the world of work through three phases aimed at students in different degree courses.

The first phase, open to first-year students, presents the activities and services offered by the UPV to improve employability through a 20-hour training action carried out through PoliformaT.

The second phase of Route to Employment is aimed at students already in their second or more advanced year. The objective of this phase is employability training through the acquisition of knowledge and strategies necessary to prepare for the search for internships and employment.

The final phase, aimed at students from the third year onwards, consists of the completion of the Employment Route Notebook to reflect on the professional objective and the necessary tools to start the insertion in the labour market.
