XVII IDEAS UPV Awards

On Thursday, 23 November, at 6:30 PM, in the Auditorium of the Blue Cube of the ICC, the IDEAS UPV Awards Gala will be held

Promote and consolidate the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the UPV, and reward and recognise the best initiatives and business paths that have emerged with the support of the IDEAS UPV Entrepreneurship Area of the University. This is the aim of the IDEAS UPV Awards, which are now in their seventeenth year.

The prizes, worth 30,000 euros, are divided into four categories: Lean, Avanza, Spin-off and Entrepreneurial Woman.

The categories

1-The "LEAN" Awards

These are open to companies created on or after 1 January 2020 or with a maximum turnover (Operating income) of 30,000 euros up to the deadline for applications to this call for entries.

- FIRST prize: 3,500 euros

- SECOND prize: 2,500 euros

- THIRD prize: 1,500 euros

2-"AVANZA" Awards

These are for companies with economic activity and incorporated on or before 31 December 2019, inclusive, or with a turnover (Operating Income) greater than €30,000 up to the deadline for applications to this call.

- FIRST prize: 6,000 euros

- SECOND prize: 5,000 euros

- THIRD prize: 4,000 euros

3- " WOMAN ENTREPRENEUR " Awards.

These are for companies founded or co-founded by women, where the participation (share capital) of UPV women (students or graduates) is greater than or equal to 50%, and in which the company is managed by a female UPV student or graduate who is a partner in the company.

- A prize of 3,000 euros

4- "SPIN OFF" Awards.

It is for companies promoted by UPV staff as a result of university research activities at the UPV (Spin-off UPV).

- A prize of 4,500 euros

The Lean, Avanza and Spin-off categories are mutually exclusive.

The finalists

A total of 40 applications have been submitted: 10 in the Lean category, 21 in the Avanza category, 4 in the Spin-off and 5 in the Women category. Twenty-one finalists have been selected and can be viewed at this link.

The winning companies will be announced during the Awards Gala on 23 November at 6:30 PM in the Blue Cube Auditorium of the Polytechnic City of Innovation. You can get your invitation at this link.
