Opening of the academic year

On Friday, 15th September, at 12.30 PM, the Solemn Opening Ceremony 2023-2024 of the UPV will take place in the Paraninfo of the Rectorate building. José Antonio Rovira, the Regional Minister of Education, Universities and Employment of the Generalitat Valenciana, will attend the solemn act this year. UPV Professor Dr. of Artificial Intelligence José Hernández-Orallo will give the opening lecture.
The event will begin with the reading of the Universitat Politècnica de València's annual report 2022-2023 by the General Secretary. Then, it will follow the acknowledgement of the academic staff who have gained ANECA recognition for thirty years of international-quality research and those of knowledge and innovation transfer.
Hernández-Orallo's inaugural lecture, entitled "Artificial and natural intelligence: from diversity to generality," will be followed by the Regional Minister's speech. The event will be closed by the rector of the UPV, José E. Capilla.
