From July until the end of 2023, the businessman Fernando Candela will be the president of Iberia, taking over from Javier Sánchez Prieto. The company announced this a few weeks ago, explaining that "he will give continuity and stability to the company's activity and will serve to continue with its ambitious development".
IAG's CEO, Luis Gallego, described Candela as "an extraordinary professional" and a "key player in IAG and the Iberia group". "His extensive experience in the world of aviation and transformation will bring a lot of value to the company. His solvency makes him the best person to lead Iberia in the coming months".
UPV’s Industrial Engineer
