UPV students whose degree certificate has already been issued, may request a duplicate, by contacting the appropriate (*) centre where they have completed their studies and provide the necessary documentation for the correct issuance of the new one.

Documents to be submitted:
- In all cases, original degree certificate, a formal request for a duplicate copy justifying the reasons, and the corresponding fees.
- In the case of change of name/surname, they must additionally provide the birth certificate issued by the Civil Registry.

(*) If the title was issued by the Ministry (and therefore obtained prior to 3/01/1988), you should contact the Secretary's Office where you studied to carry out all the procedures in accordance with the information indicated in the following link:

New Bachelor's / Master's / Doctorate degree:

Following the entry into force of Royal Decree 1002/2010, of 5 August, on issuance of official university degrees, and according to the new organisation of official university programmes established by Royal Decree 1393/2007, of 29 October, as amended by Royal Decree 861/2010, of 2 July, a new procedure for re-issuance of official university degrees is in place, as it states in Article 20: "At the request of the person concerned and after payment of the appropriate fees, the issuance of a duplicate copy of a degree is deemed acceptable in the event of loss, theft, total or partial destruction or rectification of the original one, being an essential requirement the publication in the "Official State Gazette" (BOE) in order to enable, as the case may be, the necessary claims".
