The Andersen UPV Chair participates in the conference “20 years of the Corresponsables Yearbook”.

On June 18, the Andersen Chair at UPV participated in the commemoration day for the 20th anniversary of the Corresponsables Yearbook, held at the Blue Cube Auditorium of the Universitat Politècnica de València, under the title: “Learnings and challenges for leading sustainability.”

Corresponsables organized the event with the collaboration of the Master’s Degree in Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability UPV, the Inter-University Chair of the Valencian Public System of Social Services the support of the Generalitat Valenciana.

The conference brought together professionals from academia, business, and institutions to reflect on the current role of sustainability, social responsibility, and corporate ethics in the transformation of our organizations and territories.

The Andersen Chair UPV actively participated in the first conference of the day: “Sustainability as a strategic axis of post-DANA reconstruction”, where Fernando de Rasche, Counselor and head of the Andersen Foundation explained the social and educational focus of the actions promoted after this event:

“We have tried to divide the beginning of the development of our activity into two phases: first with a commemorative event here in Valencia in which an annual award for academic excellence will be given to high school students from the most affected areas. Finally, we will have scholarships for the best developed and less able students, because the Andersen Foundation was born from the events that took place here in Valencia”.

In addition, the Chair took part in the innovative best practices capsules with the participation ofJoaquín Ureña, ,partner and head of Andersen’s economic-financial department, who stressed the importance of ethics and compliance in corporate sustainability:

“Good practices are essential because they guarantee trust and transparency, efficiency and quality that come from these levels of satisfaction, and ethical and regulatory compliance. All our actions must be aimed at guaranteeing this morality in the provision of services and in these increasingly important regulatory compliances”.

The Andersen UPV Chair welcomes the opportunity to contribute to this space for reflection and exchange on sustainability with real impact.

The event included the free delivery of the 20th Edition of the Corresponsables Yearbook to all attendees.
