On February 28, the virtual signing ceremony of the inter-university cooperation agreement between Universitat Politécnica De Valencia and Guangzhou University (GZHU) has been celebrated. The President of GZHU, Wei Minghai, and Professor José E. Capilla Roma, President of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, signed the agreement on behalf of the two universities.
On February 28, the virtual signing ceremony of the inter-university cooperation agreement between the Polytechnic University of Valencia and Guangzhou University (GZHU) was held. The President of GZHU, Wei Minghai, and Professor José E. Capilla Roma, President of the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia, signed the agreement on behalf of the two universities.
This agreement represents the beginning of a collaborative relationship that seeks to exploit the various opportunities for research and academic and student exchanges, opportunities for joint international conferences and publications, and the future development of the Guangzhou international sister university alliance.
President Wei noted that this year marked the 10th anniversary of the international sister city relationship between Guangzhou and Valencia, which enjoy an important strategic and economic position in their respective countries and regions. The Universitat Politecnica De Valencia was invited to join the Guangzhou International Sister City University Alliance in 2021. With the support of Guangzhou municipal government, Guangzhou University will give full play to the role of the Alliance and carry out cooperation with UPV in joint research, faculty exchange and joint student program in communication engineering, statistics and operations research, polymer chemical, engineering and environmental science.
Professor José Esteban Capilla highlighted that the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia will maintain its commitment to deepen cooperation with Chinese universities and promote the exchange between faculty and students on the basis of mutual learning. Both parties will provide support and assistance for the development of society and cities.
In attendance at the agreement signing were the President of the UPV, José Esteban Capilla (center photo), the Vice President for Internationalization and Communication, José Francisco Monserrat del Río, and the director of the International Action Office, Nuria Llobregat.
