For equality
The Network of Valencian Public Universities for Equality and Diversity is constituted
[ 28/04/2023 ]
The five Valencian public universities have formed the Network of Valencian Public Universities for Equality and Diversities to promote the university as an environment that fosters and serves as an example in implementing inclusive and equality policies.
As a result of the joint work of the vice-rectors' offices responsible for the Network's issue, the promotion and representation of the UPV are carried out by the vice-rector Salomé Cuesta Valera.
The objectives of the Network include the identification of common issues of interest for research and knowledge transfer, promoting the exchange of experiences and good practices in the field of equality and diversity, as well as reaching a consensus on strategic lines that could be of common interest for the development of equality and diversity policies in Valencian public universities.
The scopes of activity of the Network will be:
- Effective equality between women and men.
- Functional diversity/disability.
- Sex-affective diversity and diverse identities.
- Cultural diversity and its manifestations, diversity of origin or origin different from the hegemonic majority.
- Age and family diversity.
- Other areas of action agreed upon by the Network's Board.
