Technical Agricultural Engineer in Agricultural Farming (1st cycle degree)

Specialists in livestock and fisheries management study environmental sciences, biology, botany, soil science and climatology, together with animal breeding technologies in order to enhance the efficiency and productivity of agricultural and livestock farming.

Technical engineers, specialising in agricultural farming, are trained to perform the following duties:


Supervision, management and consultancy of farms and fisheries.

Technical assistance, writing technical reports and designing quality control projects, both in the public and the private sectors.

Waste management and treatment; environmental impact evaluation and studies; rural land development and drafting the plans for irrigation schemes, as well as measurements, valuations, property appraisals and experts' reports for insurance purposes, legal proceedings and the like.

Planning and supervising activities such as planting, harvesting and irrigation; animal nutrition and making up animal feeds; prevention and treatment of pests and diseases that affect plants and animals, as well as conducting genetic studies.

Designing farms and facilities, building and construction management.
