Learning and Teaching Project

The principal mission of the Polytechnic University of Valencia is to enhance people’s skills through high-quality training geared to society’s needs.
The university must move towards learning models that ensure students to acquire the skills necessary for entry into the labour market. To achieve this goal, it is essential to put the student at the heart of the learning-teaching process through the implementation of active methodologies that integrate both acquisition and development of skills.

The university has made effective progress towards this goal through the introduction of Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in diverse initiatives with the collaboration of various vice-chancellories and services. These include the definition of a regulatory framework issued by the Vice-Chancellor’s office for Studies, Quality and Accreditation and the Vice-Chancellor’s Office for Students, Culture and Sport; ongoing training for teachers and the project for transversal key competencesdeveloped by the Institute for Educational Sciences; and the promotion of new technology-based teaching strategies, such as the reverse teaching project by the Vice-Chancellor’s office for Digital Resources and Documentation.

The Learning + Teaching (L+T) portal aims to centralise and make visible all the institutional initiatives concerning the learning-teaching process: learning and assessment models, teaching resources and skill training, technological resources available to the university community, teacher training, or official announcements and events related to educational innovation.

It also aims to be a place to share good teaching practices within the university community, the results of innovation in education, and any L+T initiative related to structures or services of the university. Ultimately, it is a place for the university community to work together and move forward.
