Mobile and Wireless Communication Systems.

Description

This course analyses current trends in mobile and wireless communication systems in the road towards fourth generation (LTE), where many different access and connectivity technologies will coexist and the access to services will be transparent for users. This course develops the concepts of deployment and optimization of 3G networks (UMTS), wireless systems (WIFI, WIMAX) and LTE/LTE-A networks.

Evaluation

Evaluation is mainly made via three mechanisms: individual exercises and resolution of cases proposed in class every two weeks, small group activities once a month and a final exam.
