Language requirements:

The Course will be taught in Spanish. A minimum level of Spanish is desirable.

 

Academic recognition and certificate:

 

Students will make a final grading exercise and as far as they succeed in passing they will be awarded with a certificate of achievement. In this certificates the mark (grade obtained) on the course, will appear “Certificado de aprovechamiento”.

 

The students that do not succeed in passing the course but attend a minimum of 80% of the course will receive an certificate of attendance “ Certificado de Asistencia”.

 

The course includes 60 hours of instruction and a minimum of 30 hours covering cultural tours/visits and activities organized by the 5 public Valencian Universities, thus being elegible for a recognition of up to a maximum of 6 credits in American Universities, or 5 ECTS at European Univesities, as a Spanish course at an intermediate or (advanced) elementary level.

 

Programmes and courses:

CONTENIDOS:

�� Tema 1: Contactos en español. Saludar, identificarse, presentarse, despedirse. Llamarse, ser, tener,trabajar.

�� Tema 2: La Clase. Preguntar y decir la dirección, pedir y dar información, describir objetos.

Verbos regulares.

�� Tema 3: Describir:Describir personas, expresar posesión, describir prendas de vestir.

�� Tema 4: Los medios de transporte. Expresar necesidades, deseos, preferencias, pedir y dar

información espacial.

�� Tema 5: ¿Qué haces normalmente? Preguntar y decir la hora, describir acciones habituales y

expresar la frecuencia.

�� Tema 6: -Ocio y Tiempo libre. Expresar gustos y preferencias, acuerdo y desacuerdo y pedir

algo en un restaurante.

�� Tema 7: Las comidas: Me gusta, me encanta, prefiero, odio.-verbos en presente (verbos regulares e irregulares, y reflexivos).- El médico (Me duele / las enfermedades).-Estar + gerundio / seguir + gerundio. El tiempo (hace calor, frío… muy / mucho)

�� Tema 8: - De Compras (los precios.-los números.-las recetas.-lo, los, la, las.-este, ese, aquel) Algo,nada, alguien, nadie.

�� Tema 9: - La Empresa. Comunicarse en el ámbito de la empresa.

 

Registration Fees:

 

Registration and fullpayment should be done by 4th March, or alternatively a 50% payment by 4th March which has to be followed by completing the full payment by 4th April.

 

Accommodation:

The accommodation fee pays for a double college room with all the meals included unless otherwise stated, starting with the 3rd july dinner and finishing with 23rd july breakfast.

 

Special Requirements:

We will make very effort to accommodate the needs of those with special dietary or other requirements.

 

Cancellation policy and fees:

 

Cancellations requested before the 20th June are eligible for a 50% refund.

 

Cancellations received less than two weeks prior to the start of the programme are not eligible for the refund of any fees.

 

Methods of payment:

 

By Credit card or by bank transfer.
