Junior Master Engineer in computer science as trainee or stage in Switzerland

We create software solutions for railway diagnostic systems. The systems collect data via wireless connections like GSM/LTE or WIFI. Our system is currently installed on more than 700 trains worldwide. The candidate will work in a small innovative team developing mostly Java applications and libraries used on landside Windows Servers and onboard embedded Linux devices.

The candidate will work for about one year in Switzerland, therefore citizenship of an EU country or Switzerland is required for work permission.

Qualification and Skills:

"Master of Computer Science or Computer Engineering".

Experience in Software Development predominately with Java. Good knowledge Object Oriented program design methods and UML. Familiar with XML and base knowledge of web services. Good English language skills, speaking and writing. Good Knowledge of either Windows Server or Linux Operating System.

Nice to Have: Experience Software development with OSGI, Micro-services based software stack. Knowledge about Java JEE technology stack like JSF, JSP or EJB. Know How about security aspects, cryptography, SSL or VPN. Practical experience in agile Development processes like SCRUM or Kanban. Informed and up to date with latest Java community trends, like Jigsaw. Knowledge and Experience of Maven managed projects and modules. Knowledge about the specifics of PostgreSQL Databases. Ability to tailor Debian Linux for specific hardware platforms. Understanding German language.
