Call for projects to promote research in international development cooperation, which contribute to combating inequalities in the most impoverished countries

[ 20/09/2024 ]

The Development Cooperation Centre of the Universitat Politècnica de València opens the call for the ADSIDEO-Cooperation 2024 programme for research projects oriented to international development cooperation. The deadline for submission is 18 October 2024.

Impact on vulnerable people and groups

The call aims to promote research on topics that contribute to combating inequalities in the most impoverished countries, which aligns with the social commitment of UPV.

Academic and Research Staff of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) can participate with proposals for R+D+i projects oriented towards development studies and the application of technology for human development in the following priority sectors: water and sanitation, economic growth, culture and science, rural development, agriculture and food security, education, gender, environment and climate change, democratic governance, health, information and communications technologies and humanitarian aid.

Endowment

Two types of grants are envisaged:

- Support for the development of research projects: up to a maximum of 15,000 euros per project.

- Seed projects: promotion of preparatory actions for the exploration and formulation of future research projects in calls for higher funding. A maximum of 4,000 euros per project will be granted.

In both cases, it is a requirement that at least one entity from a priority country participates in Spanish international cooperation and that the research is aligned with the priority sectors of the same.
