The first edition of the UPV Scientific Monologue Contest already has its winners! Francisco Pedroche, a researcher at the Institute of Multidisciplinary Mathematics (IMM) at UPV, has won the first prize thanks to his monologue "Infinity is an accordion". The second prize went to Carolina Ropero, a PhD student at the UPV, who presented the monologue "Fantastic mushrooms and where to find them".

And the third prize went to Miguel López Pérez, a researcher in the CVBLab-Human-TECH group, for his monologue "Quien en ChatGPT confía, yerra cada día" (Whoever trusts in ChatGPT, errs every day).

As the first prize winner, Francisco Pedroche will enjoy a voucher for two nights for two people; breakfast included courtesy of the Hotel AR Diamante Beach ****S in Calpe. This prize is not only a token of appreciation for his outstanding performance but also an opportunity for him to relax after his hard work in preparing the monologue. Meanwhile, Carolina and Miguel will receive various UPV merchandising products, symbolising their achievement in this prestigious contest.

This contest is part of the annual programme of communication and scientific dissemination of the UPV and is promoted by its Communication Area through its Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit (UCC+I). It is also supported by the FECYT of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
