Validesa dels certificats de la UPV

SPNL certificates can serve as merits in recruitment, state exams and transfers competitions within the UPV, and in various public administrations in the area of languages.

Both the Generalitat Valenciana and the Generalitat de Catalunya recognise certificates issued by the Polytechnic University of Valencia. As far as the Balearic Government is concerned, recognition is only possible in the field of teaching; in other areas (health, justice, general administration, etc.) validation or homologation by the Direcció General de Política Lingüística (General Directorate of Language Policy) must be requested (tel. 971 78 46 14). In most cases, this request is granted.

Valencian universities have signed an agreement of homologation which establishes the conditions for issuing certificates they mutually recognise and which are also recognised by the Junta Qualificadora de Coneixements de Valencià (JQCV) of the Generalitat Valenciana. As part of this agreement, the Interuniversity Commission for Accreditation and Standardisation of Knowledge of Valencian (CIEACOVA) has been founded. This commission is responsible for preparing and publishing the catalogue of accreditation certificates of language competence issued by the universities taking part. These certificates can be issued within the terms of this agreement.
As agreed by the Commission of Homologations at the Plenary session of the JQCV, UPV certificates of Valencian included in the catalogue of the CIEACOVA are equivalent to JQCV ones. Passing the UPV exam for accreditation of knowledge of Valencian will be followed by the issuance of a certificate of competence which, since 2010, has become equivalent to the JQCV certificate. This means that people who have passed the exam after 2009 are entitled to receive the JQCV certificate, except in the case of level B2 (Intermediate), which has no equivalent JQCV certificate.

Since June 2015, persons who have passed the exams have access to the digital certificate, via email from the JQCV.
