The European Comission has granted the UPV the renewal of its Erasmus Charter for the period 2021-2027 with a score of 100 out of 100

The European Commission has granted the Polytechnic University of Valencia the renewal of its Erasmus charter for the period 2021-2027 (Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027), a document considered the prerequisite to participate in the program.

The UPV project has obtained the maximum score (100 points), which is a resounding recognition of the UPV's commitment to internationalization. The Erasmus charter establishes the UPV's institutional policy and strategy, as well as a general quality framework, for its participation in all the actions and projects of the Erasmus + program, which are managed by the Office of International Exchange Programs (OPII), the 13 internationalization offices of UPV schools and faculties and the Office of International Action (OAI).

In the new period that begins, the Erasmus + program introduces some novelties, such as a greater emphasis on the support of participants from all socio-economic contexts, the digitization and automation of all processes, the implementation of environmental protection initiatives and, finally , the promotion of social commitment and active citizenship of the participants before, during and after their mobility.

Send 8,000 students and receive 10,000 In the period 2021-2027, the forecast is to send more than 8,000 UPV students to partner universities, as well as receive around 10,000 international students who will study Erasmus mobility at any of the three campuses.

Juan Miguel Martínez Rubio, head of the Rector's Cabinet and head of international relations at the UPV, explained that “with the support of the Erasmus + program, the UPV strives to promote the development of an international component in its culture that goes beyond traditional mobility of students and staff ”. “The final objective is to integrate this international perspective both in teaching and in research activity and in the field of university management. For this reason, we want to continue developing and disseminating this policy at all levels of our university community and project it in the social and business environment of the Valencian Community ”, Martínez Rubio highlighted.
