That's not me!

An image is worth more than a thousand words, isn't it?

Well, as you can see, I like football. Although I'm a Real Madrid supporter, there you have my second team, Newcastle United. I personally think is great to support a team which pays more attention to what they do than to what the others do, and that is Newcastle's philosophy. That's why they build a good attack and have not much left to defend. It's easy: if the other team scores four goals then Newcastle has to score five!!. The result is good enough both for the team itself and for the sport in itself. Some teams are only to win; others are also for playing good football. If one of these two fails, I prefer standing with the second. I like teams with personality like Newcastle United and I hope they will get what they deserve -a Premiership title- very soon. ManU didn't deserve the League in 95-96, when Newcastle had an advantage of 10 points and ManU came to win so many matches as NewCastle was losing them. My grandfather used to say "learn to win by losing". Well, not always, but anyway, now we are ready for a Premiership title...

... Coming back to my roots, I was raised watching European football and when someone sees players struggeling until the last minute trying to win in such a big effort, then you feel "this is my team". I was six years old when I watched Real Madrid which has been my team ever since. When I grew up the old players went and they were replaced for a bunch of crap. Nowadays, after many years lacking the "old mood" I'm seeing what I didn't since my childhood. Good players, good team, they play for each other, pass the ball, have a leader (or more than one actually), and make good football. Of course you must watch Raul -he is a star- but you do not forget people like, Hierro, Guti, Casillas, Roberto Carlos, Zidane, Figo, and ... Ronaldo!!!.

If you watch carefully the photograph you will see a picture of Our Lady. Pray to her in case of any difficulty, and pray more if you don't have any ...
... because they will come together!. She will take good care of you.

Now, this is my view of the Universe that I have borrowed from Johannes Kepler:

"We don't wonder about the bird's profit in singing: we know singing is a pleasure for it, cause so was it created for. Similarly we must give up wondering why we make so much effort in trying to unveil the secrets of the Universe. Our Creator has matched our spirit to our senses, and that not only for we to make possibe living out of it -yet this is much better achieved for many living species without rational soul-, He has done it so that we, starting from the existence of the things that we see with our eyes, gain the understanding of their change and essence even though not any material profit is made out of it..."

Johannes Kepler, 'Mysterium Cosmographicum', 1586.

In my free time I like fostering relations with my friends, grow cactus, play football, organise mountain-bike excursions, go for a beer, read books on history and philosophy of science or just talk with people. Talking is the best way of relating with others, ... well, ... as long as you listen to what the others have to say as well (Beware of wordly people!).

And as you can see from the link at the left side, now what I most enjoy is riding my Suzuki GS500 on weekends with my friends of the "Cuadraruedas" motoclub.
