BURNING MAN.ARQUITECTURA Y FUEGO. MIGUEL ARRAIZ
Las fallas se han convertido en los últimos años en un marco de creación e investigación artística con fuertes vínculos con la arquitectura. La incorporación de nuevos creativos y creativas de ámbitos como la arquitectura, la ilustración y el diseño aporta nuevos lenguajes y conceptos contemporáneos donde se disuelven los cánones hegemónicos habituales. Las intervenciones efímeras constituyen verdaderos espacios habitables y de socialización que suponen una nueva herramienta comunicativa con reglas propias. La materialización de una idea supone siempre asumir un proceso de toma de decisiones. Desde el material utilizado hasta el color, su construcción y su objetivo final: la combustión. Y todo bajo el dominio de la representación gráfica y control de su comunicación. Dentro de este nuevo escenario de creación tan vinculada a la arquitectura encontramos el caso Ekklesia, una falla diseñada y construída por el arquitecto Miguel Arraiz y el artista plástico David Moreno, cuyo proyecto llegó hasta el Burning Man, el festival de arte que cada año se da cita en el desierto de Nevada. The incorporation of new creatives from fields such as architecture, illustration and design provides new contemporary languages and concepts where the usual hegemonic canons are dissolved. Ephemeral interventions constitute true living and socialization spaces that represent a new communicative tool with its own rules. The materialization of an idea always involves assuming a decision-making process. From the material used to the color, its construction and its final objective: combustion. And all under the domain of graphic representation and control of its communication. Within this new scenario of creation so linked to architecture we find the Ekklesia case, a falla designed and built by the architect Miguel Arraiz and the plastic artist David Moreno, whose project reached Burning Man, the art festival that takes place every year in the Nevada desert.
