[ES]Las conducciones que transportan fluidos pueden hacerlo de dos maneras: o bien a lámina libre (donde en superficie siempre se tiene la presión atmosférica) o bien en tubos confinados, en los que la presión alcanzada poder ser muy diferente de la atmosférica. Cuando el trasiego se hace a través de sistemas presurizados, las bombas juegan un papel fundamental para proporcionar uno u otro valor de caudal o presión. En este sentido, la regulación es la actividad que debe realizarse para conseguir que la máquina proporcione un determinado caudal o presión en el sistema según se requiera a través del control del punto de funcionamiento de las máquinas en base a los requerimientos de la instalación. [EN]Pipelines that transport fluids can be carried in two ways: either through a free surface (where atmospheric pressure is always present at the surface) or in confined tubes, where the pressure reached can be very different from atmospheric pressure. When transferring fluids through pressurized systems, pumps play a fundamental role in providing one or another flow rate or pressure. In this sense, regulation is the activity that must be performed to ensure that the machine provides a specific flow rate or pressure in the system as required by controlling the operating point of the machines based on the installation's requirements.
