The XVIII IAHR Symposium on Hydraulic Machinery and Cavitation will be held in Valencia (Spain) in 16-19 September 1996. This Symposium congregates, usually, more than 200 delegates coming from all over the world involving researchers, designers, constructors and managers related with the Hydraulic Machinery field throughout its design, manufacture, use and maintenance.

Manufacturers, users and managers will benefit from knowing the latest innovations; researchers will be able to profit by a closer knowledge of the current problems. Discussions will provide the opportunity of a final exchange of ideas and experiences.

Venue

The Symposium will be hosted by the Fluids Mechanic Group and held at the U.P V. (Politechnical University of Valencia) campus located in the North of the city, close to the main exit to Barcelona.

Valencia is a very old city, with many touristic resort. It's a 900000 inhabitants city, east of Madrid and South of Barcelona. It is well connected with both cities by plane, train and highway. You can view a general map and a detailed map that will make your access by road easier.

In September, at the Symposium time, the weather is very pleasant, the temperatures ranging from 18 to 28 Celsius degrees. Sunny days are more than frequent, as you probably can check in today's satellite image of Europe.
