What is First Ascent International - Women in Tech?
First Ascent is a four-day retreat for 20 impressive women European students with a passion for programming. The event takes place in Milan, Italy, over four days: October 5-8, 2023, and it’s completely free! It is an opportunity for outstanding students to network while solving tough (yet fun!) team challenges, and applications close May 7.

What about Synapse?
Bending Spoons is also hosting the second edition of Synapse, a symposium on the future of AI which will take place September 30, 2023, in Milan. Last year’s edition featured talks from luminaries such as Max Tegmark, Vittorio Ferrari, and Georgia Gkioxari, and we expect this year to be even better. We’re also inviting students from around the globe to attend poster sessions and we’re offering up to 50 scholarships to cover the costs of travel and accommodation. The event itself is completely free to attend, and applications close July 15.
