A PhD student from the Universitat Politècnica de València, Abdullah Al-Droubi, has achieved the prestigious award for the best master's thesis in financial technology with his work entitled ‘The impact of using Blockchain technology on the quality of financial statements of Jordanian commercial banks’), from the Al Hussein Fund for Excellence (HFE).
The HFE is a non-profit organisation funded by the Jordanian banking community. The prize, endowed with 4,000 Jordanian dinars (5,000 euros), was awarded ex aequo to Abdullah Al-Droubi and the researcher Dima Najeh Al-Majali, from Mu'tah University for their thesis ‘The impact of the digital economy on economic activity’.
Abdullah Al-Droubi studied at Al-Bayt University in Jordan and is currently studying for a PhD in Business Management and Administration at the UPV, under the guidance of Professors Marta Peris Ortiz and Sofía Estellés Miguel, who have congratulated the student: 'We hope he continues working on it and that his results are as good as those obtained so far'.
His PhD thesis will be based on the work carried out for his master's thesis.
