Objectives and strategy

Internationalisation must be extended as a concept and practice to include, among other things, academic and social experiences, encompassing not only students but also research collaboration and the expertise of administrative and service staff.

In that sense and recognising the crucial role of internationalisation for the success of our university in the next 50 years, the creation of a new Vice-Rectorate for Internationalisation and Communication allows us to open the doors of our university and extend our scope of action to the global horizon of the 21st century. The objectives set by the UPV's internationalisation plan for the 2030 horizon are:

Objective 1: To define an internationalisation strategy with the motto "International and networked Committed" to establish an internationalisation plan for the 2030 horizon.

Objective 2: To promote the UPV brand as a world-renowned research university at the forefront of scientific and technological progress, as well as a reliable and internationally accepted partner for the transfer of knowledge and technology to industry, science, and society.

Objective 3: To increase the internationalisation of studies by offering the opportunity to welcome students from all over the world and the opportunity for national students to have a degree with an international scope.

Objective 4: To promote international mobility not only for students but also for all UPV staff.

Objective 5: To promote the global impact of our research.

Objective 6: To support multilingualism and multiculturalism as crucial elements to enrich the entire university community.
