UPV HOSTS THE THEATRE EXPERIENCE 'RESISTENCIAS COMPARTIDAS' ON WEDNESDAY JUNE 18

Directed by Vicky Algarra and Rusell Di Napoli, the UPV Theatre Group will perform the piece at the Alfons Roig Auditorium (Fine Arts Faculty, ground floor), from 7pm. Admission is free.

The Vice-rectorate for Students affairs and Campus Life’s Office of Cultural Activities and the Vice-Rectorate for Social Responsibility and Cooperation of the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) presents the theatre experience “Resistencias compartidas”, which will take place on Wednesday June 18, from 7.00 pm at the Alfons Roig Auditorium (Fine Arts Faculty, ground floor). Admission is free.

Presented by the UPV Theatre Group (“Aula de Teatro”) and directed by Vicky Algarra and Rusell Di Napoli, this project is the result of collaboration with the Association for Cooperation between Communities (ACOEC, in Spanish), which has a campaign to raise awareness of the violence exerted over women from a global point of view.

With a combination of fantasy and reality, and a great dose of satire, this staging is presented as a work in progress in which actors share their theatre experience without aiming to give a finished product, removing the borders between the stage and the backstage.

“Resistencias compartidas” consists of six plays: La condición masculina, ¿Quién nos marca el camino? (both adapted by Vicky Algarra), La sombra, La escobilla, Cosas que deberían habernos contado (adaptation by Rusell Di Napoli) and PowerWomen (a collective creation).
