DECREE 3/2017, of January 13, of the Valencian Executive Council, passing the Rules for the selection, recruitment and mobility of Valencian public servants.

Article 20. Knowledge of Valencian

1. As required by article 53.2 of the LOGFPV, in the case of people who have passsed the selective tests, knowledge of Valencian must be accredited by means of a certificate issued or recognized by the JQCV (Knowledge of Valencian Qualification Board).

2. The level of knowledge of Valencian required in each case, depending on the group or subgroup to which the person having passed the corresponding selective test gained access, can be found in the following table:

a) A1, A2, B: Grau Mitjà (Medium level)

b) C1, C2: Grau Elemental (Elementary level)

c) Professional civil service groups: Coneixements orals (Oral competence)

3. Those who cannot prove their knowledge of Valencian after having passed the selective tests in the manner indicated in the previous section, will have to take a specific test and, if they do not pass it, attend the refresher courses that will be organized with this purpose.

4. Within the Valencian Government, these courses will be organized by the competent body, within a period of one year from the moment in which civil servant take up their duties, and it will be compulsory for civil servants to attend them until they reach the level of knowledge of Valencian required in section 2 of this article.
