Staff Week Hanze UAS Groningen in November
Dear Erasmus partners,
We are happy to announce that Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen will once again organise a comprehensive one-week training programme for colleagues of our partner institutions in the framework of Erasmus+ staff mobility for training. The programme is scheduled from 13-16 November 2017 and will start on Monday morning and will end after dinner on Thursday.
Please forward this mail to those colleagues whom you think might be interested.
Theme The sustainable university
The theme of this year’s programme is: The sustainable university.
Hanze UAS aims at an integrated approach to sustainability in our education, research and operational management. Our aims for 2025 are:
1. 0% waste;
2. No more usage of natural gas in our buildings;
3. Every student and alumnus is a green ambassador;
4. Our employees are sustainable role models for the world around them.
To reach this goal we are using state-of-the art knowledge, but also the creative ideas of our students. For more information you can watch our clip or visit our website.
What will we focus on?
During this week, we would like to share our knowledge and experience with you, but we would also like to learn from you. What plans and ambitions does your university have to become more sustainable? What creative or smart ideas are your implementing.
We plan to organise sessions on the following topics:
A healthy classroom and workplace
How to create an energy neutral campus
The circular food chain in university canteens/restaurants
Creating a sustainable mind set
The students of tomorrow are Green Ambassadors
It goes without saying that there will also be time to discover the beautiful city of Groningen and to socialize with your colleagues!
Who should participate?
The programme targets university employees who have knowledge and experience in the field of sustainability. They could be working in the field of campus services (campus development, facility management), but they could also be researchers in the field of sustainability, or policy makers, or curriculum developers. You are all more than welcome.
Participants are expected to finance their own travel, accommodation and other expenses through the Erasmus+ programme. There are no participation fees.
If you are interested and you intend to participate in this week, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org before 1 July 2017. This unofficial pre-registration will help us to get an idea of the amount of interest in this week.
The provisional programme will be available mid July 2017. The official registration will also open mid July.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Groningen in November!
