What is Erasmus+?
Erasmus+ is the European Union's program for education, training, youth, and sport. The program operates in seven-year cycles, with specific actions and rules for each cycle. We are currently in the Erasmus+ 2021-2028 program.
Erasmus+ aims to boost career prospects and personal development, as well as help our education, training, and youth systems provide teaching and learning that equips individuals with the skills needed for the current and future labor market and society.
Erasmus+ offers the opportunity to spend a significant period of study (from 2 to 12 months) at a foreign university and receive academic credit for that period as an integral part of the studies undertaken at the UPV (Polytechnic University of Valencia).
To participate in an Erasmus+ exchange, a prior agreement between both institutions is required. Each agreement defines the participating universities, the number of students, the duration of the exchange, and the field of study to which the exchange applies. Currently, the UPV has more than 500 Erasmus agreements, which are managed by the corresponding Schools/Faculties.
