Introduction We are happy to announce that Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen will once again organise a comprehensive one-week training programme for colleagues of our partner institutions in the framework of Erasmus+ staff mobility for training. The programme is scheduled from 13-16 November 2017 and will start on Monday morning and will end after dinner on Thursday. On Friday, 17 November 2017 you will have the possibility to schedule your personal meetings with colleagues and students at Hanze UAS. Programme The theme of this year’s programme is: “The sustainable university”. Hanze UAS aims at an integrated approach to sustainability in our education, research and operational management. Our aims for 2025 are: 1. 0% waste; 2. No more usage of natural gas in our buildings; 3. Every student and alumnus is a green ambassador; 4. Our employees are sustainable role models for the world around them. To reach this goal we are using state-of-the art knowledge, but also the creative ideas of our students. During this week, we would like to share our knowledge and experience with you, but we would also like to learn from you. What plans and ambitions does your university have to become more sustainable? What creative or smart ideas are you implementing? Registration The programme targets university employees who have knowledge and experience in the field of sustainability. They could be working in the field of campus services (campus development, facility management), but they could also be researchers in the field of sustainability, or policy makers, or curriculum developers. You are all more than welcome. Applicants are requested to describe clearly in the registration form which position they have in their institution and which tasks and responsibilities they have. The deadline for applications will be 14 September 2017. Please, use the registration form to sign in. The number of participants for the week will be limited to 30, with the maximum number of two attendees per partner university. The selected participants will be informed no later than 27 September 2017. Location The programme will take place in and around Hanze UAS. Accommodation The accepted participants can book their accommodation in any hotel of their choice but we have made special arrangements with the Hampshire Hotel – City Groningen. More detailed information of special rates and recommendations will be given directly to the participants via email. NB! Do not book hotels or flights before your participation has been confirmed! Fees Participants are expected to finance their own travel, accommodation and other expenses for example through the Erasmus+ programme. There are no participation fees.
