DSIC Remote Desktop and Virtual Machine Access Service Terms of Use.

  • The Department's technical staff will ensure that the remote access service is fully operational throughout working hours, although less priority will be given to supporting the Department's face-to-face practices and other essential services.
  • Outside working hours, the remote access service is provided "as is", i.e. without any guarantee.
  • Incidents of the service may be reported at any time, but such incidents will be handled only during working hours.
  • The remote access service is provided to all DSIC staff and students of the subjects whose practices are taught in the DSIC teaching laboratories, as well as students of other subjects that have been expressly authorized by the management of the department upon request.


Access to Linux desktops

From Linux client

  • Install RDP software: rdesktop. xfreerdp, remmina
  • Connect to the VPN of the UPV (vpn)
  • From the chosen client access the address linuxdesktop.dsic.upv.es

From Windows client

  • Connect to the VPN of the UPV (vpn)
  • From the software Remote desktop connection connect to the address linuxdesktop.dsic.upv.es

From MacOS client

  • Connect to the VPN of the UPV (vpn)
  • From the free Microsoft Remote Desktop software and connect to the address linuxdesktop.dsic.upv.es


Access to Windows desktops

From Linux client
