Terms of use.

Server certificate applicants within the SCA service of RedIRIS hereby declare:

• • Being aware and undertaking the current rules and procedures, terms and conditions, and technical requirements established for the application of SCA certificates specified in http://www.rediris.es/tcs/ and, in particular, those detailed in the CPS (Certificate Practice Statement) of the service. The applicants undertake the conditions and the appropriate modifications of the same that may be carried out, and that shall be communicated in advance in the website and to the Contact Persons with RedIRIS (hereinafter, "CPs") of their respective institutions.
• They are aware that failure to comply with these rules may result in the revocation of the certificates.
• They declare that the information provided in the present application is true, errors or omissions in good faith excepted.
• They undertake to always keep updated the information provided in this application, communicating to CPs any change that occurs, as well checking that the certificates are in accordance with the original request before use.
  Failure to comply with this obligation may result in the revocation of the certificate(s).
• They assume and are aware that the certificates issued must be exclusively used to access the institution's own resources in terms of their academic and research activities, expressly excluding any type of financial transactions.
• They assume that RedIRIS, in the processing of the different actions related to the issuance of SCA server certificates, will act taking into account the data communicated by the applicant.
• They are aware and assume that any falsehood or error in the data entered in the present application may cause the rejection of the same.
• They are aware and assume that, once the system informs that the certificates have been issued, they may be revoked due to failure to comply with the requirements established for that purpose.
• They are aware and assume that, in case of serious technical negligence, the server certificates may be revoked.
• They state that certificate applications shall only be processed when, as far as they know, the use of the certificates does not violate the rights of third parties.
• They undertake to protect and treat the private keys associated with the certificates as confidential information, as well as ensuring that the certificates will not be used in any way in case of revocation of the same.
• They assume that the service is provided by RedIRIS in non-commercial terms for its users within the research and academic community, and that RedIRIS can not be held responsible for the provision of said services.
• Regarding the treatment of personal data of the aforementioned persons and entities, they are aware and assume that RedIRIS shall abide to the provisions of the Organic Law 15/1999, of 13 December, on the Protection of Personal Data and development regulations, in relation to the request and issuance of SCA server certificates.
