RiuNet is the Institutional Repository of Universitat Politècnica de València, managed by the Library. Its purpose is to offer online access to the scientific, academic and corporate production of the university community to increase visibility and make the content accessible and preservable. RiuNet meets the University’s commitments under the Budapest Open Access Initiative, the Berlin Declaration and its institutional open access policy.

With its different collections, RiuNet reflects a wide variety of document typologies: learning objects created by the teaching staff (Polimedia, virtual laboratories and teaching articles); doctoral theses read at the university, articles published by the university community; academic works presented by students; electronic journals and conference proceedings published by the university, creative works; institutional production and heritage collection, etc.

Most of these collections are fed by internal databases, avoiding the need for users to upload data twice. This is the case of publications entered by teaching staff in Senia, which are sent automatically to RiuNet. Once there, library staff check each journal’s editorial policy.

This method ensures compliance with Spanish science legislation and the mandates of funding institutions, in combination with the legal framework on intellectual property. Further information.

The university’s researchers can also self-file other works directly in RiuNet.

For further information see New dispatch to RiuNet, the video tutorial with the steps to follow and the guide on Amending learning objects.

RiuNet is integrated in PoliBuscador, so a consultation in this portal will also return RiuNet entries.
