Cultural Activities

Museo Arqueologico

This museum contains ceramics from the Bronze Age found at the settlement known as Pic dels Corbs, and an Iberian limestone sculpture from the 4th century BC, a totem figure representing a bull. The museum's Roman holdings, however, are much more numerous and of superb quality, showing the different stages of Romanization undergone in the area.

The collection of Latin epigraphy is one of the most important in Spain, showing honorific, funerary, monumental and religious inscriptions. Mosaics from the Late Roman Empire have been found, with the group known as the "Torments of Dirce" being of note.
