1.- Install vpnc support for Network Manager. Open the terminal and type:
$ sudo apt-get install network-manager-vpnc
Once the install has been completed, type:
$ sudo NetworkManager restart
2.- Open the Network Manager with left-click on the Network Manager icon (on the top right corner of the screen) and scroll down to where it says VPN Connections. Select Configure VPN
3.- On the VPN tab, select 'Add' and Select Cisco Compatible VPN (vpnc) and click Create
4.- Enter the following information:
Connection Name: VPN to UPV
Gateway: vpn.upv.es
User Name: username@domain.upv.es ( There are only 2 possible 'domain': UPVNET (staff) and ALUMNO (students) .)
User Password: Your Campus Domain Password
Group Name: biblioteca ( type "soloupv" (without quotation marks) if you only want access to shared resources, or type "biblioteca" if you want access to the library's electronic journals.)
Group Password: upvnet
click Save....
5.- Start the connection, left-click on the Network Manager again and go down to VPN Connections. This time, select VPN to UPV
