Business Chair IDC Innovation, Design and Interculturality

The creation of the Business Chair IDC Innovation, Design and Interculturality is the latest step made by UPV dedicated to research, training, promotion and promotion of Design and Innovation.

The business chairs at universities are mechanisms for knowledge transfer to society and attracting talent from institutions and companies.

The Business Chair IDC (Innovation, Design and Interculturality) emerged as a confluence of the research and training structures for professional profiles that manage the complete cycle of innovation, design and manufacturing up to market arrival within intercultural contexts. In other words, professionals from any geographical area know how to manage decision-making processes related to design in one place and, in turn, manage production in another culturally different place. In addition, it is about creating a relationship between supplier and client based on co-creation and the generation of new business opportunities.

This new Chair is attached to the Design Engineering School, and its purpose will be the promotion and development of innovation and intercultural design. The Chair will be directed by Dr Gabriel Songel González.
