RESEARCH IN THE FOOD TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

Three groups carry out their research in the Food Technology Department (FTD). The group of Food Research and Innovation (CUINA), the Analysis and Simulation of Agrifood Processes (ASPA) and the group of Food Microstructure and Chemistry (MIQUALI). The research activity in the Department covers all those topics related to the agrifood products and processes, from design to quality evaluation by conventional and new non-destructive techniques. Environmental issues related to the life cycle assessment of products in the sector are also covered by the research groups of the FTD.
