Group of Studies in Development, Cooperation and Ethics

The Group of Studies in Development, Cooperation and Ethics (GEDCE) is a multidisciplinary research group of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (Technical University of Valencia, UPV). It gathers lecturers of the Departamento de Proyectos de Ingeniería (Projects Engineering Department), researchers and experts of the UPV that, from 1995, had centered their teaching, research and social outreach activities in the fields of development, international aid and applied ethics. The Group of Studies works in partnership with other public and private entities (NGO, academic institutions, public administrations, etc.) in the Valencian Region, Spain, Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia. The GEDCE is member of the Red Española de Estudios del Desarrollo (Spanish Network of Development Studies, REEDES), of the Red EnDerechos (Spanish network on rights-based approach), and of the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI).
